Former Tottenham midfielder Paulinho is in trouble in China.
The Guangzhou Evergrande star, who recently scored a hat-trick for Brazil, is being threatened with deportation from China after posing with a Japanese purn star called Tsukasa Aoi.
The root of the problems for Paulinho is that purn is illegal in China, while the footballer’s problems are even greater as he was promoting a betting company at the time.
Betting and gambling are also illegal in China, meaning that Paulinho committed a double whammy.
What’s going to happen?
So will Paulinho be kicked out the country? Right now it seems that jumping to any conclusions seems reckless, as the Mirror report the following:
He is likely to face questions from his Chinese Super League club and authorities after agreeing to endorse Letou, an Asian betting company which targets punters in China, where betting is illegal.
One suspects Paulinho will escape with just a slap on the wrists.
